Notes on use
• Check the screw connections and retighten as necessary
every three months.
• Check the screw connections and tight seating of the
web panels after gusty winds or a storm.
• Close the windows and doors of your greenhouse during
heavy winds or a storm.
• You should additionally secure the greenhouse using a
suitable storm anchoring device (not supplied) in areas
subject to increased storm activity.
• Do not strike the web panels with hard objects at
temperatures below the freezing point (0 °C/32 °F).
• The roof of your greenhouse must be freed of snow in
good time in order to avoid a dangerous amount of weight
from building up. Even 10 cm of snow or 2 cm of ice can
be dangerous!
• The roof of your greenhouse is not designed to be
walked on!
• Do not start an open fire or similar in the greenhouse!
Use only approved heating units!
• Observe the local building ordinance.
Baseplate
Important: The greenhouse does not have an additional
baseplate profile. You can erect your greenhouse on a
previously prepared masonry or concrete baseplate (see
baseplate diagram) or you can assemble it on an
aluminium base. (Available as accessories: Aluminium
base for AluStar I, art. no. 36.406.40; AluStar II, art. no.
36.406.41; AluStar III, art. no. 36.406.42).
Also available as special accessories are anchoring sets
BD4-SET (4 ground anchors), art. no. 36.405.90 and
BD6-SET (6 ground anchors), art. no. 36.405.91.
Baseplate of concrete/masonry
Perpendicularity of the baseplate is very important when
erecting the greenhouse. The baseplate must be at exact
right angles and level. Check the latter using a water level.
Important: The baseplate must be sunk to the frost-
penetration depth.
Notes on use / baseplate / baseplate diagram
Important:
If you do not want to erect your greenhouse on
a masonry or concrete baseplate, ensure that
your greenhouse is built on level, sturdy ground.
Check levelness using a water level!
