Troubleshooting tips:

• Following system software installation, if the E-42 boots up much slower than usual, clear

the CMOS as follows:

–

Make sure that the power cable is removed from the power outlet, and then remove the
battery (see

page 69

–

Wait two minutes to allow the motherboard electrical components to fully discharge.

–

Reinstall the battery.

–

After reassembling the system, reset the time and date in Setup (see Configure Help for
more information).

• If a startup error displays on the control panel when you power on the E-42, check the

connections.
