About the installation process
It is strongly recommended that you review this chapter before you install the E-36A. Also keep in mind that
installation problems are easier to avoid and diagnose if you proceed from the component level to the system level,
verifying functionality at each step.
Since the E-36A is connected to the customer’s network, be sure to coordinate your installation schedule with the
network administrator at the customer site. For information about network setup, refer the network administrator to
Configuration and Setup , which is part of the user documentation set.
To install the E-36A
1 Check installation requirements and verify site conditions (see page 18 ).
If possible, obtain verification that the network is operational.
2 Unpack the E-36A (see page 19 ).
3 If applicable, install the Fiery NX One Station (for information about Fiery NX One Station, see page 9 ).
For information about installing the Fiery NX One Station, see the documentation provided with the Fiery NX One
Station kit.
4 Connect the E-36A to the printer, power, network, and other optional devices (see page 20 ).
5 Locate the EFI/Fiery decal in the shipping container and affix it to the printer on the area specified in Figure 4 .
If you see other decals on the printer, affix the EFI/Fiery decal above the other decals aligning it to the right.

6 Complete the installation (see page 27 ).
Remind site administrator to install current user software on client computers that print to the E-36A (see Printing
and Utilities , which are part of the user documentation set).
