Then turn the (Z) zero screw in the same direction as the (M) mag screw was
just turned until the digital reading is close to or equal to the min master size.
MIN size = good
6.3.3 - set mag (spread too long) - If the digital reading for the min master
size is smaller than it should be, the spread is “long”, mag adjustment is
required.
MIN size = too small
Turn the (M) mag screw CCW to decrease the mag until the reading displayed
goes beyond the min master actual size. For an ID hole measurement (airplug),
the reading will need to be smaller than the min master size. For an O.D.
shaft measurement (air ring/air snap) the reading will need to be even larger
than the reading first seen.

Then turn the (Z) zero screw in the same direction as the (M) mag screw was
just turned until the digital reading is close to or equal to the min master size.
MIN size = good
6.3.4 - Repeat steps 6.3.2 or 6.3.3 by switching both masters as required until
the max and min sizes display correctly. Once completed proceed to the
“software calibration”.
