mode. The connection location is under the meter lid, in the middle near the top
of the meter (Figure 5-13). A connection must be made between the two indicated
circuit board pads for at least 1 second.
This can be done while the meter is on, but is not recommended due to the difficulty in
accessing it safely. The connection can also be made while the meter is turned off, by
first ‘waking up’ the LCD by pushing the select button (this mode of operation must be
enabled). The connection can be made using any implement that will connect the two
points together electrically, such as a screwdriver or small pair of pliers. It should take
about 2 seconds to register.

“jumper”
To help determine the state of the jumper, there is a special LCD screen to show the
state. Press and hold the
Select
button for 20 seconds – the screen should change to
display the serial number, and both
Set A
and
Set B
will be displayed. Press the Select
button until the ‘Jump’ screen is shown – it should take 7 presses. When this screen
shows a number 127 or less the jumper is not connected – the meter is secure. When
it shows a number 128 or above the jumper is connected.

Figure 5-14 TB1 Connections
Figure 5-14 shows the connection method. The nominal voltage input range is 220 - 240
VAC. The limit range of operation is 195VAC to 275VAC. The current range depends
on the current range of the meter, and should be limited to Imax.
