In order to control the P-1 from a MIDI device, the P-1’s MIDI receive channel must match the MIDI
device’s MIDI transmit channel.
For details on how to set the transmit channel of your MIDI device, refer to its owner’s manual.

In the
MIDI Rx CHANNEL
area, select (touch) a button
1–16 to select the P-1’s MIDI receive channel.
With the factory settings this is set to 10.
In order to control the V-1 or a MIDI sound module from the P-1, the P-1’s MIDI transmit channel
must match the MIDI device’s receive channel.
For details on how to set the receive channel of your V-1 or MIDI sound module, refer to its owner’s
manual.

If you want to send MIDI
messages from the P-1 to
the V-1 or a MIDI sound
module, use a MIDI cable to
connect the P-1’s MIDI OUT
connector to the MIDI IN
connector of the V-1 or
MIDI sound module.
