Before removing the cover, check that the power supply is switched off to
avoid any risk of injury or electrocution
1. DOMESTIC MAINTENANCE
Domestic maintenance is to be carried out by the user. Operate the drainage valve of the
hydraulic safety device once a month to avoid scaling and check that it is not blocked.
Non-compliance with this maintenance can result in a deterioration of the system and
the warranty being cancelled.
2. MAINTENANCE BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN
- Descaling: Remove the limescale deposited in the form of sludge. Do not scrape or hit
the limescale that is stuck to the sides as this may damage the coating. Do not forget
to change the seal and reassemble the unit; check that there are no water leaks after
the first heating.
- For units with a magnesium anode, change the magnesium anode every two years or
as soon as the diameter is less than 10 mm.
- Changing a reinforced heating element involves draining the water heater and changing
the seal. Reassemble the heating element by tightening the nuts to a reasonable level
(tighten opposite nuts), check that there is no leak after the first heating, tighten further
if necessary.
- Draining: switch the electric power supply and cold water off, open the hot water taps
then operate the drainage valve of the safety device. For water heaters under sinks,
disconnect the hydraulic unit and turn it upside down to drain.
IMPORTANT:
The following parts can be replaced: the thermostat, the seal, the heating
element, the magnesium anode, the connection cable, the cover, the indicator light, the
switch. The warranty requires original manufacturer’s parts to be used.
ADVICE FOR
THE USER:
For water with TH > 20°f, it is recommended that you treat it. In the case of
a softener, the hardness of the water must remain greater than 15°f. In the event of
prolonged absence, in particular in winter, empty your water heater and follow the
procedure for starting it up again.
