LD9988 User Manual Page 42

Cross-search

In E-C Dictionary, you can choose an English word or a Chinese character to look up
its Chinese or English definition by cross-searching to E-C Dictionary, Oxford
Dictionary, C-E Dictionary, or C-C Dictionary. If you cross search to C-C Dictionary,
you can also get the information such as Radical, Strokes, CangJie and PoYin of the
Chinese character, Unlimited times’ cross-search is available in this application.

Note: Please refer to the relevant part in Oxford Dictionary for details.

Saving Record

In the E-C Dictionary, you can press

to save some important and difficult

words and phrase as records for Revision Test and Listening & Learning.

Note: Please refer to the relevant part in Oxford Dictionary for details.

C-E Dictionary

C-E Dictionary contains many Chinese idioms. Ten Chinese input methods are
available, they are Handwriting Recognition, Taiwan, Mandarin, Cantonese, Strokes,
5-stroke, Cangjie, Simple, Radical and DaYi. (

How to input Chinese characters,

please refer to the instructions of Chinese Input Method for details.)

Input a Chinese character with one of Chinese Input Methods mentioned above for its

English definition. (Key-entry, Handwriting Recognition and touch-and-go operations

are supported.)

General Search

Ordinary input method and Wisdom input method are available in this application,
you can set in System Setting. Input desired Chinese character or idiom and you will
get its definition quickly.
