CHAPTER 2 Dictionary
Oxford Dictionary
The Oxford Dictionary is licensed by Oxford University Press. You can perform
general search and sequential search. The dictionary offers phonetics and Chinese
definitions of English words. You can also view the grammar information like phrases,
compounds, derivative, antonyms and so on. Cross-search to C-E Dictionary, E-E
Dictionary and C-C Dictionary are available in this application. You can also listen to
the English, Mandarin and Cantonese pronunciation. (Key-entry, Handwriting
Recognition and Touch-and-go operations are supported.)
General Search
Ordinary input method and Wisdom input method are available in this application,
you can set in System Setting. Input desired English word or phrase and you will get
its phonetic alphabet and definition quickly.
Wisdom Input Method
Input the first letter of the word you
want to search, e.g. input “a”.
The nearest words will be displayed
automatically.
Press
/
to select
the desired word, or you may enter the
remaining letters of the word.
e.g. input “able”.
Press
to delete the letter before cursor.
Press
to insert a space.
Press
to delete the letter over the cursor.
Press
to view the definition of the word.
(You can also touch the word in the browse list
directly to view its definition)
Press
to view the previous or next
record.
Press
to view more contents if
necessary.
