Serial
port
This serial port works in the same way as the front panel serial port (Serial Monitor) but it is much faster
(up to 115 200 bauds) and can input commands in distant mode.
8.5.
CAN board physical configuration
Few settings are needed for CAN boards: CAN address and restricted RC/RM.
The CAN bus address is selected with six switches. The first five switches select the address in binary
code (from lower bit to higher) and the last one activates the terminal resistors.

On the RC/RM daughter board
of the CAN/X or IP/CAN/X board, three jumpers make it possible to
select the normally open or normally close contact for each relay. They are JP2, JP4 and JP5.

Serial port commands
When the equipment detects the presence of RC/RM boards, some extra commands are available as
shown on the following table. The command’s syntax and usage are the same as standard commands.
Before using the AUX serial port the first time, initialize its speed.
