4.3 CONNECTIONS
All connections on the unit for untreated and drainage of treated water are standard PVC adhesive connections.
1. Incoming water
- Installing a ball valve and a pressure gauge on the incoming water before the electro-
ventile at the entrance is recommended as a guide to the operation of the appliance.
2. Sewage
- The sewage line must be connected to a sufficiently large drain. A glue co
nnection is provided
on the device to make the connection to the drain. Make sure there is an air gap between the sewage
line and the drain.
3. Production
- The production or permeate line has a glue connection. This must be connected to a
storage tank or a pressure tank. A non-return valve must be placed to avoid transfer of permeate from
the storage tank to the drain. The permeate line must be made of stainless steel (PVC, inox, polypropy-
lene PVDF, ...). Placing three-piece couplings at both ends of the permeate line as well as installing a
test tap before and after reverse osmosis is recommended to facilitate maintenance and repair. Do not
place a valve on the permeate line!! If this tap is turned off while the unit is in service, damage to the
membranes will occur

REVERSE OSMOSIS CONTROLLER
The reverse osmosis is controlled by an easy-to-operate electronic controller located in the electrical cabinet.
The controller has an LCD display. This screen shows the current state of the RO, as well as the possible
alarm notifications.
4.4.1 SERVICE
Before the RO gets in “production mode” and whenever the pro
-
duction stops because of a full storage tank, the membranes will
be rinsed for a short period of time. (Only when the customer
has chosen the auto-flush option, without the auto-flush option
there will be just a flow to the drain (waste valve open))
If the storage tank is full the RO gets in the stand-by position
until the level in the tank is dropped to predetermined value. (RO
IN ST-BY).
When the auto-flush option is present and the RO is in standby, the RO will do a flush of the membranes every
5 hours during 30 sec. This is to prevent the membranes from being in the same water for a long time and
bacteriological contamination can occur.
If the auto-flush option is not chosen, there will be no rinsing of the membranes but only a refreshment of the
water in the membranes (production during 30sec). Also when the storage tank is full.
4.4.2 ALARMS
The electronic controller is programmed to display a message on the LCD when problems arise.
If an alarm message appears on the screen, first solve the problem before re-operating the reverse osmo
-
sis. When the problem is solved, press the ▲ button on the electronic controller to put the reverse osmosis
back in service. You can also turn the main switch off and back on to re-start the reverse osmosis.
