Can I ride my ebike in the rain?
Yes, riding in light to moderate rain is not a problem. Please make sure that your bike is bone dry before
your next ride, or the ebike may cut off randomly. Do not park your bike in rain and avoid running
through large puddles of water. The motor is not meant to be submerged, but if a little rain falls on the
exterior, it is not a problem. The battery and controller have self protection mechanisms, they will cut
off the power if there is a short, but water damage can destroy the electronics of the ebike if water is
allowed to seep into the controller shell, motor housing or display.
What is the most important thing for maintaining my
battery?
Remember to charge the battery before it is fully discharged. Do not let the ebike run with an empty
battery and power turned on. Running your lithium battery at extremely low levels will very quickly
damage the cells within your lithium battery. Remember to charge your battery at least once per 45-60
days if you do not use your bike for a long time. Failing to regularly keep your battery topped up can
cause the battery to be starved, and power will be greatly decrease the capacity and life cycles of the
unit. A low battery may even cause your display not to turn on.
Do you have a spare key for my ebike?
Sorry, we do not have any spare keys. You will be provided with two keys with your new ebike. If you
lose both keys, you would need to replace the complete lock and tumbler set and not just the key. We
would need to order the part in for you and this is not an item we stock. It is important that you keep a
copy of your key in a safe place.
