FAQ
How does after-sale customer service and warranty
work?
When you have problems with your bike, please message us at
www.Ebikes-Canada.com/contact/
, and
we will reply to you within one business days. It is best if you can describe your problems in detail and
make a video or show photos to show the problem you are having and any solution you may have tried
to correct issue on your own. It is the fastest way for us to resolve your issue. Please provide as much
detail as possible about how the problem is happening and how we would be able to reproduce it. We
will report your problems and videos to our technical team and will try to provide you with a solution
within 24 hours. If your bike is under warranty, we will arrange for spare parts to be shipped to you if
needed.
I'm technically inclined and think I can fix the problem
myself. Does it void the warranty if I do?
Note, we always like to work with and support our customers who are resourceful enough to fix an issue
on their own. We will provide plenty of tech support over email to guide you through the process. It
saves wasted time inexpensive shipping, and it can be useful and a fun learning process for everyone
involved. However, please contact us prior to attempting any do-it-yourself repair that you feel may be a
warranty issue, as some things have non-obvious complications. Making modifications without our
approval/knowledge of mods in advance may void the warranty. We encourage and help do-it-yourself
customers, but we need to be included in the loop before the repairs begin on any warranty claim
issues.
Why does the charger get hot?
When the battery is being charged, it is normal that the charger will get warm. Part of the energy is
converted into heat energy when converting AC to DC. As long as there is no smell, you don't need to be
concerned. It is best to put your charger and battery in a well ventilated location during the charging
process.
What is the range of this bike?
The range is related to the road conditions, the rider’s weight, wind resistance, an inclination of any hills
being climbed, as well as how hard (a lot of acceleration and deceleration) you ride the ebike.
Acceleration drains the battery more. Cruising is king on an ebike if you want distance. Pedalling and
using lower PAS levels help too. Tests results for distance range from this bike were made on city roads,
flat surface, with slight wind, with a rider of 73 kg (160 lbs.), with throttle and PAS set to 5 (full power
and speed) gives a range of 32 km (20 miles). If you ride using power level 1 the range would increase by
roughly 80 per cent since you are using less battery power, so the range becomes roughly 58 km
(36 miles). Of course if you do part of your ride without using the battery power (PAS set to 0) you can
extend your ride even further and get even more health benefits and fun.
