4. Functional description
The Lubo-DryExx
®
metering stations are equipment for the automatic application of
DryExx
®
conveyor belt lubrication systems with lubricant.
4.1 Description of DryExx
®
System (Hardware)
The DryExx
®
System consists essentially of an metering station with a diaphragm
compressed air pump, a control unit as well as the standard piping and nozzle system.
Various types of control unit are available dependent upon the size and specification of
the installation.
The standard supply and piping system is produced in stainless steel, but PE piping is
available as an option. The distribution circuit is in line with the requirements of the
installation and where it is sited, but essentially is a wet lubrication system. The
maximum number of nozzles for each lubrication circuit should be a maximum of 50-60.
The standard nozzle system has welded nozzle fittings For conveyors with more than
two tracks, the number of tracks - 1 is used to calculate the number of nozzles.
The inserted nozzles have a throughput of approx. 3 litres per hour at a spray pressure
of 0.2 MPa (2 bar). In order to prevent leakage over time from the nozzles, ball-bearing
valve filters with an opening pressure of 0.14 MPa (1.4 bar) are used.
4.2 Description of Control System DryExx
®

DryExx Basic
®
is a control for dry belt lubrication systems model DryExx
®
in the milk and
drinks industry
and works exclusively together with our metering stations „ Lubo DryExx “.
The control is based on a Unitronics PLC „Vision 130” in a stainless steel housing and
controls all required times, cycles, procedures and reports in DryExx
®
Systems with
up to 8 lubricating cycles.
The record of hours run for each lubrication circuit can be called up via the operating
console. As an option, a hopper reservoir meter and a flow meter for recording usage
can be fitted and called up via the operating console.
The control system includes the following functions:
• Activation of pneumatic membrane metering pump with external release and if a spray
phase is active
• Release dependent automatic operation
• Manual activation of a spray phase for each conveyor belt lubrication valve separately
(e.g. for filling the system. This function may have to be used repeatedly until the entire
system is full).
• Activation of magnetic valves with individual time settings for each lubricating circuit.
• Status, parameter and archive display via integrated display
• Easy operation via integrated function keys
•
Interruption of the functions when empty and registering an error.
•
Working hour meter for each lubrication circuit
• Quantitative entry of quantities for conveyor belt lubrication medium (optional)
• Quantitative entry of quantities for containers (optional)
• Consumption of the manual pray phase
• Archiving of operating data for the current day and month and for the previous 12
months
• Watching of the dosing amount too a minimum and maximum value
