Setup Instructions
This adjustable bed rail is designed to be installed between the box spring and mattress of the
bed.
Please follow these steps:
1.
Remove the contents from the carton.
2.
Remove the mattress from the box spring.
3.
Attach the end cross brace (Part A) to the left and right base support frames (Part B
and Part C) by inserting the open-ended sides (with the lock spring pins) of the end
cross brace into the longer lengths of tube of the base support frames. Depress the
lock spring pins to insert both sides of the end cross brace fully into the support
frames. The parts are connected when the lock spring pins of the cross brace are lined
up with the positioning holes of the support frame and have ‘snapped’ through the
positioning holes.
4.
Attach the padded hand brace (Part D) to the left and right side of the support frame by
inserting the open-
ended sides of the hand brace into the hollow ‘T’ section on either
side of the base support frame. Visually check that the holes of the padded hand brace
and of the base support frame are lined up. When you observe that the holes are lined
up on each side, insert a locking collar (Part E) through each hole. The parts are
connected when the locking collar pins are fully inserted through the holes and the
collars are ‘wrapped’ around the legs of the hand brace. At this point, it is necessary to
determine the height of the bed rail handle.
5.
You may now choose to attach the optional magazine bag. Velcro the top of the bag
over the middle horizontal bar. Attach remaining side Velcro straps (4) to the sides.
6.
Place the assembled bed rail on top the box spring.
7.
Locate a convenient distance from the head of the bed to position the bed rail.
8.
Unfold the two long straps and lay them flat across the top of the box spring.
9.
Secure the frame to the box spring by looping both straps under and around the box
spring and buckling them to the short straps on either side of the frame. Adjust and
tighten by pulling on the loose ends of the straps.
10.
Place the mattress on top of the bed rail support frame.
11.
After the bed rail is installed on the bed, remove the locking collars to adjust the handle
to the desired height. Push the handle down or pull it up to the desired height, making
sure that both holes are lined up, and reinsert the two locking collars. Be sure that the
locking pins on the locking collars go through the tubing and protrude on the opposite
side.
12.
The adjustable bed rail is now ready to be used.
