OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Battery installation
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Insert the batteries with po and – according to the symbols in the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Warning:
•
Do not combine old and new batteries.
•
Do not mix together alkali, standard (carbon-zinc) or chargeable (NiCd) batteries.
Do not touch any other button or control. After the batteries are inserted, the clock receives the time signal
automatically.
Radio controlled clock
Once the batteries start to power the device, the clock receives a time signal and automatically sets the exact
time. No manual adjustment is necessary after switching on. The exact time setting is based on the time
signal supported throughout continental Europe.
We recommend to let the clock search for the time signal over night, since nighttime allows for better
transmission of the time signal.
Signal reception
The device receives time signal automatically every day at midnight and performs any necessary corrections
of the time setting.
After successful reception of the time signal or after pressing manually the WAVE button, the display shows
WAVE OK indicator and the icon of the antenna transmitter.
Important: When a signal is being received, do not press any buttons or use the switches.
