Written authority from Eaton must be obtained before any return or credit will be allowed.
Sales RMAs will be issued for new, unused equipment that is:
A. Within 30 days of original shipment date
B. Returned in original sealed packaging
C. Returned in unmodified, untampered, original condition
D. A current design
Cancellations and Erroneous Orders:
Any order for standard Powerware products may not be cancelled within thirty days of the date scheduled for shipment/delivery by Eaton. Otherwise the
order may be cancelled in accordance with the following:
• Sales RMAs issued for cancellations and erroneous orders will be subject to a minimum 15% restocking/cancellation fee
• Restocking/cancellation fee for standard product, will be 15%
• Restocking/cancellation fee for special, custom or configured products will be a minimum of 50%.
• The buyer is responsible for both inbound and outbound freight charges
Note: Charges may be waived by mutual agreement between buyer and seller. Proper approval and authorization must be obtained and documented in
writing before the transaction is initiated.
Erroneous Shipments:
Sales RMAs necessary as a result of shipping/order entry errors will be issued and transacted with no charge to the buyer. Eaton will pay in-bound
freight and outbound freight will be similar service level as original shipment.
RMA Expiration:
An RMA is valid for 60 calendar days from date of authorization by Eaton, after which it is subject to cancellation.
Sales Contracts:
An active Sales Contract with clauses relating to return of product for sales credits may supersede the Sales RMA policy statements above.
