7. Commissioning
7.1 Unit switch-on
The professional installer must be an expert in the field, and is therefore responsible for commissioning the
system in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and local legislation.
Before switching on the EV charging station, check the effectiveness of the safety measure(s) of the system
in accordance with the local regulations.
Electrical systems or devices must be checked by the installer of the system before commissioning and
switching on the unit.
Before switching on the product, please do the following:
1. Check that the equipment is correctly fixed to the wall or the floor-mounted column in accordance with
local regulations.
2. Check that the AC GRID connections have been made correctly in accordance with local regulations.
3. Check that the EARTH connection (MANDATORY) has been made correctly in accordance with local
regulations.
4. Perform checks on the continuity of the connections of the protective conductor, insulation resistance,
RCD triggering current, triggering time, etc., in accordance with local regulations.
5. Verify that the connection cover is closed and secured with the fixing screws.
If the checks listed above were successful, proceed as follows:
1. Close the main AC GRID circuit breakers.
2. Wait for the display to turn on.
7.2 Online station
The xChargeIn DC 22 uses a software management system, Eaton Charging network manager which controls the EV
charging stations network. Refer to the Eaton Charging network manager user manual, available on www.eaton.com,
for further details.
The Eaton xChargeIn DC 22 DC EV charger communicates with the remote database via the cloud infrastructure.
