dures will cause major vehicle component damage, severe injury or death.

dures may result in major vehicle component damage, severe injury or death.
CAUTION:
Indicates a potential hazard. Failure to follow the indicated proce-
dures could result in minor or moderate component damage and/or personal
injury.

details required to avoid damaging a component or incorrectly completing a

Read the entire driver instructions before operating this transmission
system.
•
If engine cranks in any gear lever position (shift mode) on the trans-
mission driver interface device other than Neutral (N), service vehicle
immediately.
•
Before starting the engine, always be seated in the driver's seat, select
Neutral (N) mode using the transmission driver interface device, con-
firm a solid “N” in the gear display, and set the vehicle parking brake.
