RLY-800 Radio Frequency Relay (Brazil)

Wiring the RLY-800

All wiring connections are made to factory-installed,
color-coded leads that are rated for 600 VAC, 105°C.

Perform the following steps to provide power to the
RLY-800 and complete the installation:

1. Remove electrical power from the AC circuit

that is to supply the RLY-800.

2. Route the power cord from the power source to

the RLY-800.

3. Remove the clear plastic wiring compartment

cover from the RLY-800.

4. Insert the power cord through the cord grip on

the RLY-800 enclosure so that the wires can be
accessed inside the wiring compartment.

5. Connect the white and black leads of the

RLY-800 to the 120/240 VAC power source with
the twist-on wire connectors supplied with the
relay.

6. Tighten the cord grip around the power cord to

create a water-tight seal.

7. Secure the power cord using wire ties or

cable clamps.

8. Re-install the clear plastic wiring compartment

cover onto the RLY-800.

9. Apply electrical power to the RLY-800.
10.Close the RLY-800 door, secure the latch, and

install a utility seal.

The RLY-800 will begin communicating to join the RF
mesh network.

Wiring the RLY-800 to a Street Light Sensor

All wiring connections are made to factory-installed,
color-coded leads that are rated for 600 VAC, 105°C.

Perform the following steps to provide power to the
RLY-800 by using a power adapter connected to a
street light sensor:

1. Remove electrical power from the street light

that is to supply the RLY-800.

2. Remove the street light sensor from the street

light.

3. Insert the power adapter into the slot that

contained the light sensor.

4. Insert the street light sensor into the top of the

power adapter.

5. Route the power cord from the power adapter

to the RLY-800.

6. Insert the power cord through a cord grip on the

RLY-800 enclosure so that the wires can be
accessed inside the wiring compartment.

7. Connect the white and black leads of the

RLY-800 to the 120/240 VAC power source with
the twist-on wire connectors that were supplied
with the relay.

8. Tighten the cord grip around the power cord to

create a water-tight seal.

9. Secure the power adapter wire to the street

light arm using wire ties.

10.Restore electrical power to the street light.
11.Close the RLY-800 door, secure the latch, and

install a utility seal.

The RLY-800 will begin communicating to join the RF
mesh network.

CAUTION

Incorrect connections can

damage the RLY-800 when power is applied.
Follow all applicable Local and National
Electrical Codes when wiring the RLY-800.

WARNING

Dangerous voltages are present.

Multiple disconnects may be required to de-
energize all circuits.
