Additional battery information
The EasyFold electric wheelchair comes with two charged 24V 7AH
lithium batteries.
Charge the batteries for 3-4 hours for each battery.
Turn off the power to the main units while charging.
Do not leave children unattended near the power wheelchair while it
is charging.
Do not attempt to open the battery case.
Red means the unit is powered up and charging; green means the
unit is fully charged.
Note: This information is also located on the back of the charger.
When the battery is fully charged, remove the cable, then remove the
DC charging connector and the AC power plug.
The average charging time for working batteries ranges from 2 to 8
hours depending on the level of use.
Do not charge for more than 8 hours.
If you are not using the EasyFold PRO 2.0 for two months, we
recommend charging the battery for 6-8 hours before use.
Overcurrent Protection: This system is included in the wheelchair and
cuts off power to the batteries if the battery is tripped, causing the
motor to stop and preventing damage to the motor and battery.
The life of a lithium battery is measured in charge cycles, with an
average of 500 charge cycles.
Check the battery indicator light daily if you use the EasyFold PRO 2.0
frequently.
Do not use battery chargers that have not been certified by EasyFold
Canada.
If the battery is damaged, do not handle it without gloves and eye
protection.
If the battery needs to be disposed of, locate the nearest hazardous
materials disposal facility and call them for instructions.
Before storing your EasyFold PRO 2.0 for extended periods, take the
following steps to maintain the battery:
Do not attempt to charge your battery if it is frozen due to extreme
weather conditions, instead let it thaw for several hours.
a. Fully charge the battery before storing it.
b. Remove the battery from the wheelchair.
c. Store the battery in a dry, room temperature environment.
d. Avoid extreme temperatures, do not allow the battery to freeze.
