5. Installation, mechanics
GB5
M5 For alignment, see Figure 8.1 to 8.3 and 9.2
M7 Fastening the clamping plates,
Figures 4.2 to 4.4
Fasten the clamping attachments of the right and left
drive unit with 60 Nm.
Ensure that the distance between the drive rollers and
the tyres has not changed and is still 15-20 mm (Figure
9.2).
Attach the clamping shoes included in the delivery
scope behind the left and right clamping attachment
(Figure 4.3).
Fasten the clamping shoes by tightening the appropri-
ate M10x30mm screws with 60 Nm (Figure 4.4).
The clamping shoes provide additional safety by pre-
venting the drive unit from sliding on the vehicle frame.
M6 Fastening the stabiliser rod Figure 7.2
Tighten the screws with 30 Nm and secure them with
lock nuts to fasten the stabiliser rod.
Ensure that the previously marked centre of the stabi-
liser rod is still at the centre of the caravan or trailer
base.
Align both sides of the manoeuvring drive until the
installation dimensions required according to Figures
8.1 to 8.3 and 9.2 have been achieved. The distance
between the drive rollers and the tyres must be approx.
15-20 mm when the roller are swivelled off. Use the
wooden block as a measuring aid in the middle of the
tyre (Figure 9.2)
The wheel must be under full load in order
to adjust the distance, i.e. the caravan must
stand on completely even ground.
M8 Control Figure 7.2
Please check the appropriate attachment, state and
completeness of the clamping attachment and the
clamping shoes with locking nuts.
Please check that all screws have been fastened and no
parts were forgotten!
