Instructions for use and important information
This roof rack is only suitable for cars with railings on the open roof.
Strictly observe the assembly instructions to ensure the roof rack is assembled properly and
functions correctly!
Do not forget that you are responsible for the correct and careful assembly of the roof rack.
When assembling, ensure that the brackets do not protrude over the edge of the car roof. Also,
ensure that, in the case of roof carrier systems where the clearance between the front and rear
rack is not specified, the clearance should be at least 700 mm. Before each journey, after every
journey and at least every 300 km, check that the roof rack is tightly in place.
The luggage should not protrude excessively over the loading surface.
Be aware that the driving properties of the car will change when the roof rack is loaded (the ef-
fect of winds from the side, driving around curves and braking distances). The brackets should
not protrude over the edge of the roof or rain channel (shorten if necessary) For reasons of
safety and to save fuel costs, the roof rack should be dismantled when not needed.
The distance between both parts of the roof rack should be at least 700 mm unless otherwise
specified by the manufacturer. Ensure that the load is distributed evenly with the lowest point of
gravity and do not exceed the maximum roof load specified by the car manufacturer. The per-
mitted load comprises the deadweight of the roof rack of 5.2 kg and the actual load itself.
The max. load that the roof rack can bear is 60 kg; this load must be spread evenly across the
roof rack. When transporting long loads, also attach the front end of the load to the car bumper.
Adjust your speed accordingly when driving. Observe the recommended speeds. To avoid
damage to the roof of the car, two people are required to assembly and remove the roof rack!
