SPeCIaL FunCtIonS
recording
You can record a sequence of a maximum
of 37 notes.
1. Press the
[record]
button to start
recording. RECORD appears on the
display.
2. Play the notes you want to record.
3. Press the
[play]
button to play back the
notes you just recorded. PLAY appears on
the display.
4. Press the
[record]
button again to stop
recording.
[record]
disappears.
note: If the power is cut, the recording stops
and all data are lost.
one touch Setting (o.t.S.)
The One Touch Setting feature allows you to
play a preset voice adapted to the style you
selected. Follow the steps indicated below to
activate this feature.
1. Press the
[style]
button.
2. Enter a 2-digit preset style number.
3. Press the
[o.t.s.]
button. O.T.S. appears on
the display.
4. Press the
[voice]
button. The preset voice
corresponding to the selected style is
displayed.
Press the [o.t.s.] button again to exit this
mode. “O.T.S.” is no longer indicated on the
display.
Sustain
For increased flexibility and control while
playing, you can have the keyboard use a
sustain effect on the notes.
Press the
[sustain]
button to have the
keyboard sustain the notes you play. SUSTAIN
appears on the display and the notes you are
playing are sustained until you release the
[sustain]
button. Press the
[sustain]
button
again to deactivate this feature.
Percussion Pads
using the percussion pads
Percussion pads on your keyboard give you a
choice of 5 different percussion instrument
voices (bass drum, snare, open hi-hat, closed
hi-hat and high tom).
To play a percussion pad, simply press the
desired pad when wanted. The keyboard
triggers the percussion voice each time you
press the pad.
assigning a voice to a percussion pad
You can assign any of the available
percussion voices to a pad. This allows you
to quickly select and play a percussion voice
that the keyboard can reproduce.
note: All voice assignations are deleted when
the keyboard is switched off.
Follow the steps below to record and play
back a percussion track.
1. Press the
[voice]
button, and then enter
5 0 on the keypad.
2. To select the desired voice, press any of
the 16 white keys in the middle section of
the keyboard until you hear the voice you
want.
3. When you hear the voice you want to
record, hold down the percussion pad to
which you want to assign the voice and
press the corresponding white key.
4. Press the percussion pad to hear the
assigned voice.
transposing
The keyboard automatically selects the key
of C each time you switch it on. For increased
flexibility, you can transpose this default
pitch between 12 levels (+6 – -6). You can
easily adjust the transposition value with
the X’POSER buttons. Press the
[x’poser +]
button to increase the pitch of the keyboard
by a semi-tone or the X’POSER - button to
lower it by a semi-tone.
Press the
[x’poser +]
and
[x’poser -]
buttons
simultaneously to revert to the default pitch
value.
