TROUBLESHOOTING

The auto choke system fails to operate.

Check:

1. Auto choke unit resistance
2. Wiring connections

(of the entire auto choke system)

AUTO CHOKE SYSTEM

1. Auto choke unit resistance

• Disconnect the auto choke unit coupler

from wire harness.

• Connect the Pocket tester(Ω × 1) to the

Auto choke unit coupler as shown.

Positive tester probe brown

Negative tester probe green/black

• Measure the auto choke unit resistance.

Auto choke unit resistance

at 20°C

• Is the auto choke unit OK?

YES

2. Wiring

• Check the entire auto choke system’s wir-

ing.
Refer to “CIRCUIT DIAGRAM”.

• Is the auto choke system’s wiring prop-

erly connected and without defects?

YES

Replace the auto choke
unit.

Properly connect or repair
the auto choke system’s
wiring.
