9. Cut a notch at the front of the cover to fit over the
fan mounting lugs.
10. Fit the cover to the fan, trimming as necessary
to fit the cover tightly over the fan and exhaust tube.
Use flexible tape to secure the cover to the fan and
exhaust tube. Make sure to tape over any areas that
would allow air to pass between the airflow of the
propulsion system and the inside of the fuselage.

The installation of the retracts and fixed
gear follow the same procedure. The only
difference is the installation of the nose gear
strut, which has been highlighted in gray.
1. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the four
2mm x 8mm self-tapping screws that secure the
nose gear cover to the fuselage. Set the cover and
screws aside until later in the section of the manual.
2. Place the grommets and brass eyelets into the
servo mounting tabs. Note the positioning of the
brass eyelets, as the servo will be mounted to the
top of the plate in the fuselage.
