Chapter 5: Play, Radio and Record Mode 43
Use the Joystick To Change Stations
Press the MODE button until the player is in FM
Radio Mode . Attach the earphones to the player
to improve reception, and then use the Joystick
and tune to an FM station. In Radio Mode, the Joy-
stick has the following features:
Favorite
Radio
Stations
You can store your favorite radio stations as Chan-
nel presets and use them to quickly tune to a sta-
tion.
STORE A
CHANNEL PRESET
To store up to 20 radio channel presets, follow
these steps:
1.
Press the MODE button until the player is in
FM Radio Mode.
Short slide of the Joystick to the right will tune up
by a frequency of 0.05MHz.
Short slide of the Joystick to the left will tune down
by a frequency of 0.05MHz.
Longer slide of the Joystick to the right activates
the seek feature which scans frequencies forward
and automatically stops at a station with good
reception.
Longer slide of the Joystick to the left activates the
seek feature which scans frequencies backward
and automatically stops at a station with good
reception.
To stop a seek in progress, press the Joystick
down.
Slide the Joystick up or down to increase or
decrease the radio volume.
