Procedure 2: Check and update of BIOS information
The BIOS version is checked. When it is not the latest one, the message to
confirm if update is needed or not.
Does it update BIOS (Vx.xx->Vx.xx)? (Y or N), or press [Enter]
(Selection=Y)?
When the message above appears, pressing ENTER will start BIOS update.
Then, since the computer reboots automatically, repeat from Step 6.
If BIOS update is not needed, press
N
.
Procedure 3: Check and update of EC information
The EC version is checked. When it is not the latest one, the message to confirm
if update is needed or not.
Does it update EC/KBC (Vx.xx->Vx.xx)? (Y or N), or press [Enter]
(Selection=Y)?
When the message above appears, pressing ENTER will start EC update. Then,
since the computer reboots automatically, repeat from Step 6.
If EC update is not needed, press N .
The current version is displayed at upper part of the display.
NOTE: 1. Connect the AC adapter to the computer when you update the BIOS or EC.
2. Do not turn off the power while you are updating the BIOS or EC.
If the update fails, it might be impossible to start up the computer.
Procedure 4: Check of PCB replacement and of DMI information
The following message will appear.
Change PCB ? or After Update DMI ? (y/n)
If the PCB was just replaced or the DMI information was just updated before
executing of this test program, press
Y . If not, press N .
