Tilt Base to Mounting Pipe
Install the patented Tilt Base to the 2" OD ( maximum ) mounting pipe using two DXE-SSVC-2P V-
Bolt Saddle Clamps allowing approximately 7" clearance between the bottom of the Tilt Base plate,
to the top of the
DXE-RADP-3 Radial Plate as shown in Figure 3 . Make sure the Tilt Base and
optional DXE-RADP-3 Radial Plate are oriented correctly for the direction you wish to tilt the
antenna. Tighten the clamps evenly so the length of the exposed threads is approximately equal.
Any clamp should be tightened evenly from side-to-side with an equal amount of thread above each
nut.

Vertical Base Section
The base section is made up of an insulated mounting channel with hardware, a mounting plate, two
U-Bolt Saddle Clamp assemblies and the thick wall base antenna section which is 36" long, (with a
hole drilled at bottom end having the feedpoint hardware pre-installed) and slits at the top end.
Using
Figure 4 , align the holes on the mounting plate and insulated channel. Attach the aluminum
mount plate to the back of the insulated channel using four of the 2" bolts, four aluminum spacers,
four flat washers, four split washers, and four nuts. Tighten firmly, but not enough to crush the
insulated channel.
