•
To dismount, remove the slot of dust bag
9
from dust
removal port
4 (see fig. 2.2).
Emptying the dust bag (see fig. 2)
[ESS02-187 T]
One should monitor dust level in dust
bag 9 and empty the bag at relevant time,
taking the aforesaid precautions.
•
Disconnect the power tool and remove dust bag
9
in
the manner described above
•
Remove textile bag
10
from the plastic body
11
(see
fig. 2.3).
•
Taking the precautions described above, empty
the content of textile bag
10
by shaking, for better
results, turn the bag inside out and use a soft brush
to clean it (see fig. 2.4-2.6).
When washing textile
dust bag 10, use it only after the bag has dried
completely.
•
Put textile dust bag
10
on plastic body
11
(see
fig. 2.7).
Mounting / dismounting of the dust-collecting con-
tainer (see fig. 3)
[ESS03-230 DV]
•
During assembly put the dust-collecting container
7
onto a dust removing port
4 (see fig. 3.1).
•
During disassembly take the dust-collecting con-
tainer
7
off from the dust removing port
4 (see fig. 3.2).
Emptying the dust-collecting container (see fig. 3)
[ESS03-230 DV]
Monitor the dust-collecting container 7
filling, and empty it promptly according
to safety precautions described above.
•
Turn off the power tool and take off the dust-collect-
ing container
7
as described above
•
Press on two holding locks on the cover
12
and take
the cover
12
off (see fig. 3.3).
•
Observing safety regulations, dump the container
body
13
contents out; for better results, clean the in-
ner surfaces of the body
13
and cover
12
with a soft
brush (see fig. 3.4-3.6).
Attention: in case of clean-
ing dust-collecting container 7 with water, use it
only after complete drying.
•
Install the cover
12
on its place - both cover plastic
holding locks
12
should click
Initial operating
of the power tool
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power sup-
ply voltage must match the information quoted on the
power tool identification plate.
Switching the power
tool on / off
Switching on:
Move switch
3 to the right (see fig. 4.1).
Switching off:
Move switch
3 to the left (see fig. 4.2).
Dust suction during
the power tool operation
Dust collection decreases dust concentra-
tion in the air and prevents build up of dust at
the work station
Use of vacuum cleaner
During prolonged wood machining or when process-
ing materials that produce dusts hazardous to health,
the power tool should be connected to a proper vac-
uum cleaner
Given power tools may cooperate with the vacuum
cleaner only when used with a relevant connec-
tor
One should monitor dust level in the bag and empty
the bag at relevant time, taking the aforesaid precau-
tions

Oscillation rate regulator
[ESS03-230 DV]
The oscillation rate regulator
1
is purported to set the
desired oscillation rate of sanding plate
5

The required oscillation rate depends on the type of
processed material, work conditions and must be set
on the basis of practical trials for best results
During prolonged work at low oscillation rate, one
should allow the power tool to cool down for 3 minutes
For this purpose, set the maximum oscillation rate and
allow the power tool to work without load
Recommendations
on the power tool operation
Sanding sheet selection
•
Prior to commencement of work, select the sanding
sheet type that is most suitable for the processed ma-
terial or surface. The type of sanding sheet is specified
on the package One may also ask the vendor for more
information
•
Various works require the use of sanding sheet of
different coarseness, allowing a surface of required
smoothness to be obtained:
• in order to flog timber or unplanned boards, re
-
move paint or rust, it's recommended to use abra-
sive paper with 40-60 grain size;
•
in order to remove minor roughness on surface
of wooden blanks, polish prime coating etc, it's rec-
ommended to use abrasive paper with 80-120 grain
size;
• for fine polishing of wooden blank surfaces,
grinding of hardwood of prime coatings before
painting, it's recommended to use abrasive paper
with 180-320 grain size
•
The data above are a recommendation only, the
best method to select the grain size for the treated ma-
terial is practical testing
