BOARD CARE AND STORAGE
DVSPORT boards are made from top-quality materials in order to provide greater protection from
ultraviolet light. However, to ensure years of flexibility and bright colours, avoid storing the board
outside or in direct sunlight.
• Before storing, hose off the board and let it dry completely to prevent mildew buildup.
• Do not use harsh chemicals for cleaning. Most dirt can be removed with a mild soap and fresh water.
• You may store the board inflated or deflated. If you deflate the board, we recommend that you
store it in the protective bag that came with the board
• If storing the board outdoors, raise it up off the ground and cover it with a tarp to prevent
exposure to the elements
• Hanging the board, is not recommended
• Do not store in extreme conditions (i.e. above 66°C/150°F or below -23°C/-10°F)
• Store in a clean and dry place.
FINDING AND FIXING LEAKS
Your board is made from highly durable PVC. If torn or punctured, the PVC is very easy to repair. It can
easily be fixed using the repair kit included. Read the following tips carefully to find and fix leaks.
If your board is losing pressure and it is not due to cold temperatures, check the board for leaks,
starting with the valves. It is unusual for the valve to leak, but if you do find a leak, we can send you a
replacement valve. To locate a leak, we recommend mixing soap and water in a bottle and sprinkling
it over the valve. If you see bubbles forming, make sure the valve is tightly closed. If you continue to see
problems, you will probably have to change it. You can replace the valve yourself using the tools that
come with the replacement.
If the board is leaking air and the valves are all right, you probably have a small puncture. Small
punctures can be repaired easily and permanently. Sprinkle the board with soapy water until you see
bubbles appear and mark the position of the puncture. If you do not see any bubbles, inflate the board
to its maximum pressure and try listening for the leak. If you can identify the area, sprinkle it with
soapy water again to find the leak.
Punctures measuring less than 3 mm are simple to fix without a patch. Deflate your board, then clean
and dry the area you are repairing. Apply a small drop of glue to cover the puncture and let it dry 12
hours.
SMALL REPAIRS
Your board comes with a standard repair kit. If you no longer have your repair kit, you can ask one of
our agents for one. Cut a piece of the repair material that is large enough to cover the damaged area
by approximately 1.5 cm, rounding the corners. Apply glue to the bottom of the patch and around the
area you are repairing. Too much glue can interfere with a proper repair.
Wait until the adhesive is tacky (2-4 minutes) and then place the patch over the damaged area. Exert
about 3-5 kg of pressure for 12 hours. After the patch has dried, apply glue around the edges to ensure
it is completely sealed (let it dry for 4 hours).
