! Exchange the broken disk with a new one and assemble it in the
disk carrier again with the screws.
After that, the hard disk is replaced and the device carrier with the
new disk has to be reassembled in the video system.
Step 3: Reassembling the Video Hard Disk
After replacing the video hard disk, the device carrier with the new
disk has to be reassembled in the video system. For this perform the
following:
! To assemble the video hard disk in the video system carry out the
instructions under section “Step 1: Removing the Video Hard
Disk” on page 5-2 in reverse order.
After a correct assembly, you have to perform the last step and set up
the stripe set anew.
It is best to use the same brand and type of hard disk
again. Otherwise a loss of performance might occur.
It is possible to push the disk carrier too far into the video
system, with the result that the disk carrier cannot be as-
sembled correctly. For a correct assembly, the latches of the
disk carrier’s front have to be put into the assembly holes of
the video disk array:
