4. Electrical connection of the photocell
The photocell can work with the majority of gate automation control units available
on the market.
It is recommended that the electrical installation and connection of the
photocell be performed by a suitably qualified person.
The connection should be carried out
in accordance with the diagram shown in
and as described below:

Without using the synchronization function
•
Make sure that the
jumpers in the transmitter and receiver are installed,

Connect the power supply 12-24V AC / DC to the transmitter and the receiver of the
photocell.

If AC power is used, power the transmitter and receiver using the same phase (from one
power supply),
•
Connect the signal output of the photocell receiver (usually NC and C) to the corresponding
input on the control unit. Pay particular attention to the control method (NC or NO) required
in the control panel. The standard solution in gate automation is the operation of optical
sensors in the NC configuration.
With the use of the synchronization function
By using the synchronization function, 2 pairs of photocells with an overlapping optical
coverage area can be mounted.
In order to use the synchronization function, cut the
jumper in the transmitters
ZW
and receivers of the photocells and supply them with alternating voltage (12-24V AC). Connect
the same core of the power cable to the terminal marked "1" in the transmitter and in the
receiver of the first pair of photocells. Swapping the power cables only on the transmitter side
or only on the receiver side will result in the photocell barrier not working. The second pair of
photocells must be powered from the same phase as the first, but the wiring connections on the
transmitter and receiver power connectors must be reversed (the power cable attached to the
terminal marked "1" in the first pair of photocells must be swapped with the adjacent wire in the
second pair of photocells) .
