Introduction
• The PowerStroll is a pushing aid for manual wheelchairs.
It is designed for use indoors and outdoors and exclu-
sively for transport by an assistant. The pushing aid is
intended to make pushing easier for the assistant in
difficult situations, such as in the case of steep uphill
inclines.
• The PowerStroll has a few special features which facili-
tate the installation and operation of the device.
• The PowerStroll pushing aid is for the operation of a
manual wheelchair by an assistant for a total weight of
wheelchair and wheelchair user of up to 135 kg.
• The PowerStroll contains a 24 V 12Ah battery and has
a range of up to 16 kilometers on one charge.
• Since the design is subject to changes, some of the
illustrations and photos in the manual may not match
the pushing aid you purchased. The manufacturer
reserves the right to make design changes.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
This product was tested for electromagnetic compatibi-
lity (EMC) according to IEC 60601-1-2 and ISO 7176-21.
Assembly
Manual control
Loosen both screws on the molded handles (

).
Put the holders on the push handle and secure with the
screws (
photo 2+3
). Secure the display to the holder
(
photo 4
).
Note:
The display can – facing inwards or outwards – be
attached to the left or right push handle, depending on
what is more comfortable for the user.
Power unit
Push the telescopic bar on
the front end through the
holder on the power unit.
Loosen the star screw on
the telescopic bar and ad-
just to the correct length.
Adjust the telescopic bar
to the width of the holders
and push forward until
both sides have clicked
into place.
Then align the PowerStroll
in the center and secu-
re with the wing screws.
When the PowerStroll is at-
tached to the wheelchair,
it should be in a horizontal
position. If this is not the
case, orient the power unit
using the height adjust-
ment on the PowerStroll
(
photo 6
).
Mount both holders on the lower horizontal tubing of the
wheelchair in front of the scissor lift mechanism
(photo
7)
. If the PowerStroll can be assembled in front of the
scissor lift mechanism, the preassembled adapter may
have to be replaced with the accompanying extended
adapter.
Tighten the screws so that the holders sit securely and
do not rotate.
