1. Make sure the base is securely attached to a flat work
surface with the help of the clamps provided
7
. The
base can be permanently secured to a work bench with
regular screws through the 2 holes located on the top
of the base.
Do not sit or lean on the base. The base is meant
to support the materials being cut.
2. Once the base is secured, dock the tool in it:
first feed the cord through the base’s hole and then
simply click the tool into the base
8
. The tool is
securely docked, when the hand-held tool and the
stationary base are flush.
Only use the Dremel Moto-Saw in the base. Other
electric power tools are not intended to be used
with the base.
3. Once the saw blade is inserted as illustrated
9
, the
tool is ready for operation.
4.
Start the tool and let the tool come to the right speed
before contacting the workpiece.
Do not turn the switch on and off while the tool is
under load.
Press down the hold-down foot onto your workpiece to
prevent it from bouncing.
To minimise vibration hold your workpiece with two hands
close to the saw blade.
Do not push your workpiece too hard against the saw
blades. These blades are for delicate use. Therefore it
is important that the blade has time to cut the materials.
Excessive pressure on the workpiece will result in early
blade snapping.
Before beginning work on your project, make a few
practice cuts on scrap material.
HAND-HELD MODE
Using the tool in hand-held mode is recommended when
the workpiece is too big or fixed and therefore cannot be
put onto the base. Typical hand-held operation includes
coping work or cutting smaller pieces of materials. In
hand-held mode the tool functions as a motorised coping/
fret saw.
1. Keep pressing the quick-release button while detaching
the tool from its base

q
.
2. Once the tool is detached, it can be held in your hand
A
a
.
While cutting in hand-held mode, make sure
you have a firm grip on the tool.
3. Try to line up the tool’s surface against the bottom of
your workpiece to reduce vibration

EDGE GUIDE
A
d
The edge guide can be used in either of the guide rails.
This attachment can be used as a push stick or as an
edge guide/fence. When used as a push stick, there is no
need to lock it in the rails with the fence lock lever.
The guide can be used in different angles. To adjust the
angle loosen the wing screw on the guide and rotate the
head into the desired position.
The edge guide can be locked in place turning the fence
lock lever. Actuating this will prevent the guide sliding in
the rail.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
!
NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PERFORMED BY
UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL MAY RESULT IN
INCORRECT CONNECTION OF INTERNAL WIRING AND
COMPONENTS WHICH COULD CAUSE SERIOUS
HAZARD.
The tool can be cleaned most effectively with compressed
dry air.
Always wear safety goggles when cleaning
tools with compressed air.
!
TO AVOID ACCIDENTS, ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE
TOOL AND/OR CHARGER FROM THE POWER
SUPPLY BEFORE CLEANING
Ventilation openings and switch levers must be kept clean
and free of foreign matter. Do not attempt to clean the tool
by inserting pointed objects through an opening.
!
CERTAIN CLEANING AGENTS AND SOLVENTS
DAMAGE PLASTIC PARTS.
Some of these are:
gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents,

NOTE: The declared vibration total value(s) and the
declared noise emission value(s) have been measured in
accordance with a standard test method and may be used
for comparing one tool with another. They may also be
used in a preliminary assessment of exposure.
The vibration and noise emissions during actual use of
the power tool can differ from the declared total value
depending on the ways in which you use the tool. Make an
estimation of the exposure in the actual conditions of use
and identify the safety measures for personal protection
accordingly (taking account of all parts of the operating
cycle such as the times when the tool is switched off and
when it is running idle in addition to the trigger time).
DISPOSAL
The tool, accessories and packaging should be sorted for
environmental-friendly recycling.
ONLY FOR EC COUNTRIES
6
According the European Guideline 2012/19/EC for Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment and its implementation
into national right, power tools that are no longer usable
must be collected separately and disposed of in an
environmentally correct manner.
!
WEAR EAR PROTECTORS (exposure to noise can
cause hearing loss)
!
DO NOT WORK WITH MATERIALS CONTAINING
ASBESTOS (asbestos is considered carcinogenic)
!
TAKE PROTECTIVE MEASURES WHEN DURING
WORK DUST CAN DEVELOP THAT IS HARMFUL TO
ONE’S HEALTH, COMBUSTIBLE OR EXPLOSIVE (some
dusts are considered carcinogenic); wear a dust mask
and work with dust/chip extraction when connectable
