should appear on the
central alarm display.

Adjust the CO
2
low alarm limit to 1.3%.

Breathe into the sample line to obtain a CO
2
reading.
3.10 Lower the CO
2
high alarm limit below the actual CO
2
value.
*3.11 The Caution message
ETCO2 HIGH
should appear on the
central alarm display.
3.12 Adjust the CO
2
high alarm limit to 6.6%.
3.13 Breathe one breath into the sample line. Begin timing when a
new CO
2
measurement appears on the screen.
*3.14 The Caution message
APNEA-CO2
should appear on the central
alarm display within 15 seconds.
*3.15 The
APNEA-CO2
message should be upgraded to a Warning on
the central alarm display within the next 15-second period
(30 seconds total).
3.16 Breathe short, repetitive breaths into the sample line in order to
generate an inspired CO
2
>0.7%.
*3.17 Verify that the Advisory message
INSP CO2 HIGH
appears on
the central alarm display when the inspired CO
2
reading exceeds
0.7%. (Note: other advisories may need to be cleared to create
space for this advisory).
3.18 Enter the Alarm Limits Screen and set the alarms to
OFF
.
