Activating the Draganflyer X8

Once you press the power button on the back of the top canopy the LED on the canopy 
and navigation lights on the motor pods will light and start blinking.

Your Draganflyer X8 is now on and will communicate with the handheld controller, the 
interface program, and will begin acquiring a GPS satellite lock if the GPS module is 
included in your configuration.  However, it is not armed and will not engage the motors.

To activate the motors you have to arm the helicopter.  This feature ensures that a power-
up will be safe, regardless of controller inputs.

Arming Procedure

1. Set the Draganflyer X8 helicopter on a flat surface away from obstacles. Ensure 

blades do not touch nearby objects.

2. Turn ON the handheld controller.
3. Turn ON the helicopter by pressing the power button on the back of the canopy.
4. Make sure GPS position hold switch is in the lowest flight mode position.. 
5. The handheld controller will emit a Triple-Beep that confirms it is communicating 

with the Draganflyer X8 helicopter. 

6. Increase the throttle to about 75%, you should see an increase in the white LED 

blink rate. 

7. Move the left stick (throttle-yaw) to its lowest position.
8. Next move the left stick to the lower-right corner and HOLD it there for 5 

seconds.
