Calibration

There are calibrations you need to perform when you first receive your helicopter.  The 
Draganflyer X8 needs to know the strength of the magnetic field in the vertical direction 
at your location, and it needs to know your magnetic declination.  In-depth instructions 
for Magnetic Declination and Vertical Magnetic Field (Magnetic Inclination) are listed in 
their respective sections in the Table of Contents.

Repeat these calibrations if your flying location changes by 
more than 200 miles (320 km). 

For units without the GPS module these calibrations are not 

required and cannot be made. The warning screen indicating the 
magnetometer has not been set will appear. Please disregard it.
