5 Start-Up
1. Make sure that all of the connection lines, including the interface connections for
upstream controls are properly connected.
2. Before initial start of the entire system, check that all tools and foreign objects
have been removed.
3. Pull the pressure setting button of the filter control valve on the compressed air
maintenance unit (

, item 3) upwards.
ð The protection against rotation is released.
4. Close the pressure setting button of the filter control valve completely in the direc-
tion "−".
ð When the stop is reached, the minimum pressure is set at the output.
5. Set the main switch (

, item 1) to "ON".
6. Press the control button "I" ( }

, item 4) or start the device via the re-
mote control.
ð Button light is on.
ð Suction fan is running.
ð
For RC option: Frequency converter in control cabinet is active.
ð
For RCC option: Rotor controller in control cabinet is active.
ð For RC option: Brush motor is active (operation of frequency converter accord-
ing to operating instructions).
ð For RCC option: Brush motor is active (operation of rotor controller according to
operating instructions).
ð Ionisers are supplied with high voltage.
ð
The compressed air output of the compressed air maintenance unit is switched
on.
7. Turn the pressure setting button of the filter control valve slowly in the direction
"+" until the desired pressure is shown on the manometer.
NOTICE! The output pressure has to be at least 0.5 bar smaller than the input
pressure.
8. Press the pressure setting button of the filter control valve downwards.
ð The pressure setting button of the filter control valve is locked against uninten-
tional turning.
9. If necessary, set the suction volume flow via a possibly existing throttle valve

, optional accessory) according to the requirements of the cleaning ap-
plication.
