3. Close off unused suction ports of ESUC with the closing caps provided.
Exhaust of the filtered output air is optionally achieved via:
▪ Ventilation slots in the base of ESUC by downward diffusion
▪ Output air port (

NOTICE
Equipment damage due to an unsuitable HV power supply
If an unsuitable HV power supply is connected, there is a risk of damage to and de-
struction of the HV power supply and the connected ionisers. The warranty becomes
invalid.
w
Connect the ionisers only to a suitable Dr. Escherich HV power supply.
NOTICE
Risk of a short circuit due to deformation of the HV cable
Severe constriction or crushing of the HV cable (e.g. by cable ties) can cause damage to
the interior insulation and thus after a time lead to a short circuit.
w
Avoid excessive mechanical stress on the HV cable by deformation.
w
Observe the minimum bend radius for HV cable (see Technical Data of the ioniser).
NOTICE
Equipment damage due to an electric arc
High voltage is applied to coaxial plugs of AC ionisers. When the HV power supply is
switched on and coaxial plugs are being plugged in or out, an arc may occur and dam-
age the socket of the HV power supply and the coaxial plug of the AC ioniser.
w
Plug in and out coaxial plugs of the AC ionisers only when de-energised.
The HV cables of the ionisers are connected to the HV power supply via screw connect-
ors.
There are 4 HV outputs available.
1. Make sure that the HV power supply is switched off.
2. Screw the cap nut hand-tight.
Maximum permitted torque: 1 Nm.
NOTICE! When screwing on the cap nut, make sure that the cable does not
turn with it.
3. Close the unused sockets with blanking plugs in order to keep out dust and damp-
ness.
