Operating principles
The air inhaled through the inhalation valve in the connecting piece is fed into the mask and
flows in the inner part of the visor thus preventing misting. The air enters the inner mask
through the check valves and after use by operator, is exhaled through an exhalation valve in
the connecting piece. On the models that contain the letters SP/A, the exhalation valve is
equipped with a compression spring which allows the proper operation of positive pressure
breathing apparatuses connected to the masks. This valve creates an overpressure inside the
mask thus ensuring a high level of safety.
In the case of the masks ASB, donning necessarily involves the presence of the filter that has
to be exclusively a filter P3 ASB. You can then breathe through the dust filter if the regulator is
not connected to sources of compressed air, or in the cases of emergency or to reach or leave
the work area.
The breathing mask Sphere SP/A ASB using the filter involves a resistance value higher than
that of the respiratory masks in negative pressure. Therefore, it is normal to have to exhale in
