3. Remove packing washer (2), needle
gland (3) and packing washer (4).
4. Replace worn out or defective compo-
nents.

See that the components to
be installed are aligned cor-
rectly.
Push in needle carefully into the housing.
6. String gland bolt (1).
7. String packing washer (4).
8. String needle gland (3).
9. String packing washer (2).
10. Tighten gland bolt (1) sensitively.
If there are leakages in
operation after you replace
the needle gland seal, you
have to tighten the needle
gland seal a little more.
11. Install the needle. Ä 8.3.1 “Replace
needle and nozzle.”.
8.3.4 Set delay time
Protective equipment:
Protective workwear
Protective gloves
Abrasive media wear out the needle. If the
needle wear is at an advanced stage, you
must adjust the delay time.
The delay time can only be set in
spray guns for abrasive media,
which are fitted with multiple part,
hardened needles.
Disassembling
1. Remove needle Ä 8.3.1 “Replace needle
and nozzle.”.
