Fuel Filter (LP - Gas Engine Only) 

Disassembly 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

1. 

Check bottom cover O-ring seal (6) for damage.   

Replace if necessary. 

 

2.

 Re-assemble the filter assembly aligning the 

scribe lines on the top and bottom covers. 

 

3.

 Install the cover retaining screws, tightening the 

screws in an opposite sequence across the cover. 

 

4. 

Open the fuel valve by slowly turning the valve 

counterclockwise. 

 

5. 

Crank the engine several revolutions to open the 
fuel lock-off.  DO NOT START THE ENGINE. 
Turn the ignition key switch to the off position. 

 

6.

 Check the filter housing, fuel lines and fittings for 

leaks. Repair as necessary. 

 

Testing Fuel Lock-off Operation 
(LP-Gas Engine Only) 

 

1. 

Start engine. 

 

2.

 Locate the electrical connector for the fuel lock   

 

3. 

Disconnect the electrical connector. 

 

4.

 The engine should run out of fuel and stop within 

a short period of time. 

 

5. 

Turn the ignition key switch off and re-connect the 

fuel lock-off connector. 

 
NOTE: 

The length of time the engine runs on 

trapped fuel vapor increases with any 
increase in distance between the fuel lock-
off and the pressure regulator/converter.
