MAINTENANCE

Possible cause
Action
1 Part loss of suction
(excessive pressure
differential).
3 Visible effluent in
clean air outlet.
2 Total loss of suction.
1.1 Filter blocked.
1.2 Motor speed low.
1.3 Incorrect fan motor
rotation.
a Filter not cleaned regularly enough. Initiate
cleaning sequence.
b Filter cleaned while fan in motion. Remove filter
bags and clean by hand.
c Check secondary/absolute filter elements if
fitted. Replace if necessary.
d Defective cleaning. Check operation of cleaner
mechanism. Check controller.
a Check line voltage, phases, fan motor
connections. For Star/Delta applications, check
motor is in Delta.
a Check electrical connections and transpose if
necessary.
a Check controller.
b Check motor connections and windings.
a Filter not cleaned regularly enough. Initiate
cleaning sequence.
b Filter cleaned while fan in motion. Remove filter
bags and clean by hand.
c Check secondary/absolute filter elements if
fitted. Replace if necessary.
d Defective cleaning. Check operation of cleaner
mechanism. Check controller.
a Check throughout and clear.
a Check tightness of filter assembly clamping nuts.
a Identify and replace defective component(s) by
following the procedure given in 'Maintenance'
section under 'Servicing schedule'.
2.1 Fan motor stopped.
2.2 Filter blocked.
2.3 Ducting blocked.
3.1 Filter assembly not
properly sealed.
3.2 Damaged sealing gasket
or filter bag.

4 Dust container
pressure balance not
working.
a Clean sock filter.
