11. Igniting the gas burner
Open gas cylinder or pressure regulating valve.
Turn knob
C
anticlockwise to the MAX position, press and hold down
After approximately 10 seconds, ignite the burner by pressing knob
D
several times (for models without piezo-ignition, ignite the burner
with a match via aperture
F
at the back of the appliance).
When the burner is lit, keep knob
C
pushed for another 20-30
seconds, then release it.
Check the flame visually through the opening
F
. If the flame is not
burning, repeat ignition procedure.
(This could take longer than 10 seconds if the unit has been out of
operation for a prolonged period or after replacing the gas cylinder.
Cause: air in the lines.)
When a sufficient low internal temperature of the mobilCooler has been reached, it
may be necessary to set the control knob
C
to MIN-position.
12. Shutting down gas operation
Close gas cylinder or pressure regulating valve.
Turn knob
C
clockwise to the OFF-position.
13. Food and drink storage
Foodstuffs and drinks should always be stored sealed in the unit. Thus, changes in
taste and smell are avoided
Food and drink should be placed in the cooler so as to allow air to circulate freely.
Do not place hot food or drinks in the cooler!
Under no circumstances should inflammable liquids and/or gases be stored in the
cooler.
Explosion hazard!
14. Ice-making
Fill the ice-tray (if not included, the ice-tray may be purchased separately) with drinking
water to within 4/5 from the top and cover with lid. Wipe off any drops of water which may
be on the tray and lid to prevent freezing together and place in the cooler on the
refrigerating unit.
Ice will be made more quickly when the thermostat knob (for electric operation) or
regulating knob (for liquid gas operation) is set to MAX for a short time. (When ice has
formed, do not forget to return the knob to its normal setting.)
To remove the ice, allow the ice-tray to defrost slightly for a while or run it under tap water
at normal temperature before removing the lid from the tray. The ice cubes can now be
removed easily from the tray.
