Frigo DC Connecting the transport refrigeration system
➤
Moisten the thread and the O-ring in the marked area ( 2 ) with the same refrig-
erant oil that is used in the refrigeration system.
➤
Fasten the related connection thread by hand.
➤
Tighten the connection with two spanners to the following tightening
torque:
9.3 Information about installing the fittings

Proceed as illustrated (fig.
d
, page 8):
➤
Cut the hose end off with a straight cut using an appropriate pair of hose cut-
ters.
➤
Moisten the end of the fitting with the same refrigerant oil that is used in the
refrigeration system (
A ).
➤
Align the clamping clips to the clips of the fittings ( B ).
➤
Insert the fitting into the hose, rotating it slightly in the opposite direction ( C ).
Do not push the fitting straight onto the hose line.
➤
Insert the hose into the fitting until is covered by the retainer of the fitting ( D ).
➤
Close the clips with the mounting pliers ( E ).
➤
Then check whether the clips are flush and correctly closed ( F ).
Use either a slotted screwdriver or the Frigoflex
®
mounting pliers to disassemble
the fitting and proceed as illustrated:
➤
Insert a screwdriver with a flat tip under the clip closure.
➤
Use the screwdriver to pry the clip open ( G ).
Or
➤
Position the mounting pliers on the clip so that the rounded side is on the
opening and the pointed side is at the end of the clip (
G ).
➤
Press the mounting pliers to open the clip ( G ).

NOTICE!
• Use exclusively Frigoflex
®
fittings with the Frigoflex
®
hose lines.
• Use the appropriate installation tool for installing Frigoflex
®
fittings.
• Replace the hose clamps and the O-rings when reusing the fittings. Always
remove the used end of the hose with the hose cutters.
• Check the clamping clips for correct and flush locking following installation.
• Ensure that the hose ends are always cut off straight.
Incorrect installation can cause leaks in the refrigeration system.
