2. Repeatedly press the «INCREASE»
or «DECREASE» keys to display the
desired time.
3. If the «TIMER» key is not pressed for
a few seconds, the time display will
disappear and be replaced by the dis
-
play of the ambient temperature. The
timer is then activated.
4. At the end of the time set, the device
will stop automatically.
DEFROSTING FUNCTION
The device is equipped with an automa
-
tic defrosting unit.
When the room temperature is low, the
device’s evaporator may freeze.
A. In cooling or dehumidification mode,
if the device detects that the evapo
-
rator temperature is ≤ -1°C, defros
-
ting takes place automatically, and
the POWER indicator flashes. During
defrosting, the compressor stops for
about 10 minutes. As soon as the
temperature is > +7°C, the device
restarts.
B. In dehumidification mode, if the de
-
vice detects that the temperature of
the evaporator is < +40°C and that,
after approximately 20 minutes of
operation, the difference between
the temperature of the compressor
and the temperature of the room is
<+19°C, defrosting takes place auto-
matically for about 5 minutes, and the
POWER indicator flashes.
COMPRESSOR SAFETY
To increase the life of the compressor,
during a start-up or restart, there must
be a 3-minute delay before the com
-
pressor starts.
DRAINAGE
This device is equipped with an auto
-
matic evaporation mechanism. This
mechanism makes it possible to cool
the condenser and therefore improve
the cooling capacity, and also allows for
reduced power consumption.
It is not necessary to empty the water
tank in cooling mode unless humidity is
very high. However, in dehumidification
mode, it is imperative to connect a drai-
nage hose to the permanent drainage
outlet.
Automatic drainage
In cooling and dehumidification modes,
it is possible to install a drainage hose
(not supplied) so that water is conti
-
nuously evacuated.
1) Have a suitable hose available. It
must be connectable to the perma
-
nent drainage outlet found in the
middle and lower down at the back of
the device.
2) Unscrew the cap from the permanent
drainage outlet and remove the stop
-
per.
3) Connect the hose (not supplied) to
the outlet and connect the other end
to a wastewater outlet. Make sure the
hose is tilted slightly downwards and
is not pinched.
NOTE: Do not immerse the end of the
hose; the air contained in it may prevent
the flow of water. It is recommended
that the hose should be at least 20 de
-
grees from the horizontal.
