Chapter 2: Card Installation
Caution.
This unit must be connected to the Telecommunications
Network in your country using an approved line cord (e.g. for
Australia use only line cords complying with AS/CA
S008:2010).
Caution.
This unit must be connected only to the appropriate
Telecommunications Network port (as approved for use in your
specific country).
Caution.
To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larger
telecommunication line cord.

Caution.
The end product that this card is installed into must provide a
suitable fire enclosure in accordance with IEC 60950­1:2005.
For North America, the end product must additionally comply
with UL/CSA 60950­1 clause 6.4, note 5. In particular,
­ The boards must be separated from internal materials of
flammability class V­2 or lower by at least 25mm of an air
barrier or a barrier of flammability class V­1 or better.
­ The boards must be separated from openings in the top
or sides of the enclosure by at least 25mm of an air barrier or a
barrier of flammability class V­1 or better, unless the
dimensions of the openings do not exceed 5 mm in any
direction, or do not exceed 1 mm in width regardless of length.
These cards are intended only to be installed into Listed chassis
providing the required protection.
