To protect against static, complete the following steps:

If you have...

Then...

An alligator clip

Place the antistatic strap on your

wrist.

Attach the alligator clip to the

metal latch located on the left

center of the power supply. Refer

to Figure 2–1.

A disposable wrist strap

At the wrist end, wrap the shiny

black side firmly around the

wrist touching the skin.

At the system end, peel the strip

off the metal grounding contact

and stick the contact to the inside

rear of the enclosure.
