Port Forwarding Ratio (Forward%)
When this function is enabled, the statistical display shows the percentage of packets that
must be forwarded by bridging hardware to the other port on the DEL8X, that is, another
LAN segment or connected workstation. When viewing these LEDs, remember that under
normal conditions, the DEL8X forwards all Ethernet packets that must be transferred
among the connected LAN segments at full line speed.

Port Filtering Ratio (Filter%)
When this function is enabled, the statistical display shows the percentage of packets that
must be filtered from the DEL8X by bridging hardware because the destination address is
on the same segment connected to the receiving port. When viewing these LEDs, remember
that under normal conditions, the DEL8X filters all Ethernet packets that belong to the
local LAN segments at full line speed. This means that no local traffic leaks through to the
other segments.

Demonstration Display Mode (Demo)
When this function is enabled, the system cycles through all the DEL8X LEDs to verify
that the LEDs are functioning. The LEDs will continue to light until the function is
disabled.
